Pupil Premium Funding at Rickley Park Primary School
Please see below for our 2017-18 spending plan;
Pupil Premium funding is a government policy which allocates additional funding to schools for children in receipt of Free School Meals [FSM] (including children who have been entitled during the last 6 years), Looked After Children and children of Forces families. The core purpose of this funding is to address some of the issues associated with social disadvantage and, in particular, in narrowing any gaps in attainment (between children entitled to FSM and children not entitled to FSM) where they exist.Pupil premium spend 2017-18
Whilst our 2016 results (see below) show that the progress and attainment of children entitled to Pupil Premium funding is much improved in certain areas, we have identified this as an area for further improvement for this year – an area we can do even better in...
Therefore, our 2016 – 17 Pupil Premium Policy and Plan is a revision on the plan from previous years. It also reflects the current challenge within Milton Keynes to recruit high quality teaching staff.
As the provision is targeted at identified need, not all children will access all provisions. Access will depend on:
· Current attainment and progress;
· Identified needs and additional provision already in place (as identified by class teachers through Pupil Progress Meetings); and
· Discussion with parents.
For 2016 – 17, the school will identify the provision that every child who is entitled to Pupil Premium funding has accessed and/or has been offered access to.
The Pupil Premium Policy also identifies how the effectiveness of these provisions will be monitored by the school and the Governing Body.
